Trains, Tracks and Pride

What an absolutely wonderful evening! On 12th February 2025 the effervescent Tim Dunn took us on a journey through the history of train liveries up to the present-day 'trainbows', their impact both on society and on individuals, and the at-times challenging responses they elicit. This was followed by an impromptu panel where we were joined by Paul Prentice delving deeper into personal reflections of audience members, discussing LGBTQ+ safety on transport, and the current worrying rolling-back of DEI initiatives in some organisations. The biggest Journey, KPMG and DfT collaboration event so far, thanks so much to the 70 in the room and many more watching online. Huge gratitude to Melanie Knight for the introduction, Mariana CeccottiRachel Bleetman and Rémi Ratail from the KPMG Breathe network for generously organising and hosting the event, and to Sarah Christie and Simon Percelay from DfT.
