I have worked at London Underground / Transport for London since 1997, starting out as a Guard and working as a Driver, Driver Manager, Operations Manager, Executive Officer, and now Strategic Delivery & Change Manager where I primarily deliver continuous improvement in the 'Colleague' portfolio. I was the Chair of OUTbound; TfL's LGBTQ+ Colleague Network Group 2021-2023 which is when the idea of reaching out to other LGBTQ+ networks in transport to create Journey dawned, and the rest is history.

I have a passion for railway history and cartography which I have combined into a series of atlases published through Crecy Rail, charting the evolution of railways in London, Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester, and have recently added the national rail atlas created by the late Stuart Baker to my list of titles.

Pride on the Line
Thursday 12 February 2026 saw the first  Journey LGBTQ+ History Month trivia quiz: ‘Pride on the Line’, kindly hosted by the  KPMG  Breathe network in Canary Wharf, London. Hosted by Felicia aka  Lee Nicholson-Brown , we raised a fantastic £592 for  Terrence Higgins Trust . You can still give to the JustGiving page here (remember to set the 'tip' to £0 unless you want to line JustGiving's pockets for nothing!). Eyes down! Science & Innovation
LGBTQ+ History Month's theme for 2026 is ' Science & Innovation ', and so to mark this, Journey's 10 February meeting was a webinar that showcased LGBTQ+ contributions to science & innovation in transport. Paras Shah from Arup hosted the event and guided the audience through a history starting with Joe Brown from TfL telling the intriguing story of Charles Beyer. Charles was an innovator in the field of locomotive engineering from the Victorian era for whom there is now compelling evidence...
