The DfT, TfL, KPMG and Journey are excited to announce our collaboration for LGBT+ History month with the great Tim Dunn.
We are thrilled to welcome Tim Dunn, renowned British railway historian, TV presenter, geographer, and travel editor, for an engaging talk about the history of applying LGBT+ themed liveries to trains and other vehicles—and the public’s reactions to them. Tim’s passion for rail transport and his extensive knowledge of its cultural impact will guide us through a unique journey celebrating how transport has become a canvas for visibility, pride, and progress.
Tim Dunn is a celebrated historian and TV presenter known for his work on rail transport and architecture. He has presented shows such as The Architecture the Railways Built on UKTV’s Yesterday channel, combining his deep interest in history, design, and engineering. Tim’s career includes serving as Travel Editor and Customer Relations Campaign Manager for Trainline, where he used his platform to connect audiences with the joys of travel and transport. With a background in geography and storytelling, Tim has become a beloved figure in the rail and travel community.
