About the Event

As organisations with strong roots in Japan and global footprints, we’ll explore how culture influence’s identity, self‑expression and what it means to feel you belong — and how this can vary across regions and contexts.

All colleagues are welcome! You don’t need to identify as LGBTQIA+ to join. There will be an opportunity for networking and refreshments after the event (i.e. after 6:30pm), so in person attendance is recommended!

Speakers

  • Keio Yoshida is an Irish international human rights lawyer, barrister and author, bringing both a legal and lived‑experience perspective on equality and inclusion across different jurisdictions.

  • Kan, an LGBTQ+ activist and Japanese national now living in London with his husband, who has appeared on Netflix’s ‘Queer Eye: We’re in Japan’. They will share personal insight on culture, community and visibility across borders.
