About the Event
To mark International Family Equality day on 4th May, the Journey spotlight at our May meeting will be on Modern-day families through an LGBTQ+ lens and how our organisations can best support same-gender parents and those going through IVF, surrogacy, adoption, fostering etc.
Hosted by Pippa Armstrong from Alstom, we will hear from panellists with diverse lived experience:
Claire Borrill-Bromige, Transport for London
Iona Saunders, Transport for London
Matthew Page, Trustee - The Fostering Network
Megan Brown, Alstom
We would like to identify and collate best practice to help you to lobby for more inclusive policies where you work.
Please share with your networks and any carers / parents / guardians networks in your organisations.
We will then have the usual round-up / look ahead of Journey and our affiliates' events. We would especially like to hear about your organisation's response (if any) to the recent Supreme Court ruling impacting trans and nonbinary people.
A reminder please, we aim to switch fully to the website for events after the end of May so please sign up as a member and enable notifications to continue receiving events!
